Privacy

The App

Fathoms runs entirely on your iPhone. We do not collect, store, or transmit any information about how you play. There is no account system. There is no user ID. Your progress, your streak, your stats — all of it lives in the app's local storage on your device, not on our servers.

If you sign in to GameCenter, Apple records your leaderboard score and streak count on their infrastructure. We never see your GameCenter identity; Apple handles that exchange. You can opt out by not signing in.

The Website

This website uses privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are read, which languages visitors prefer, and which devices are most common. The analytics:

• Do not set cookies
• Do not use personal identifiers
• Do not track you across other sites
• Do not share data with advertisers or third parties
• Generate only aggregate counts that never identify individuals

We also store two small preferences in your browser's localStorage: your chosen language (so the site remembers it) and whether you have dismissed any banners. Neither is transmitted anywhere.

What we do not collect

A full list, for the avoidance of doubt:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your IP address (beyond the instant an analytics ping is processed and immediately discarded)
• Your location
• Your device identifiers
• Your game progress or stats
• Any content you type into the app

Third-party services

The game integrates with GameCenter (Apple). The website loads GSAP from jsDelivr (a public CDN). Neither of these receives any personal data from us — GSAP is a script file, not a service, and jsDelivr does not know who you are.

Children

Fathoms is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone; this includes children.

Changes

If this policy changes we update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app's What's New notes.
